Support

I support a variety of computer needs.  I also support them in a variety of methods.  This section will give you some idea of how it all fits together.

On-Site Service Call.  This is the most common service.  You require me to come to you.  You will call, email and/or send a text message to me explaining the need.  You will use the appropriate method of contact depending on the urgency of your request.  I will respond accordingly.  Additional charges may apply when you request same day or faster on-site response.  I come to your home or office and take care of the request.  Upon satisfaction, you are presented with a bill which you may pay in cash, check , or credit card.  Please see the related sections Pricing, Policies, Emergency Support.

Remote Assistance.  You would like something looked at on your computer which does not require my physical presence.  You will call, email and/or send a text message to me explaining the need.  You will use the appropriate method of contact depending on the urgency of your request.  I will respond accordingly and set up a time to have this remote session.  Remote Assistance is billed in 15 minute increments.  Please see the related sections Remote Assistance, Pricing, Policies.

Phone Support.  You would like something looked at on your computer which does not require my physical presence.  You will call, email and/or send a text message to me explaining the need.  You will use the appropriate method of contact depending on the urgency of your request.  I will respond accordingly.  Phone support is also billed in 15 minute increments.  Please see the related sections Pricing, Policies.
E-Mail Support.  You have a question or need that is not particularly urgent, meaning it does not require an immediate phone call or on-site visit.  I will respond via email either immediately or in no more than 24 hours.  My smartphone makes email available whereever I am, hence email is a preferred contact method.  Email allows for a full explanation of your request and allows me to respond according in an appropriate timeframe.  Make sure to additionally call or send a text message when your need is urgent, but please do use email as a primary contact method, for most needs.

Text Message.  As a more effective method than email for urgent requests, you may send a text message.  I receive an audio alert and will take notice that a text message has arrived more often than I check my email, plus I can respond more quickly.  When you need something quickly, this is effective if I'm in the middle of another job or driving and I can't stop to answer the phone, where I often can still view and respond to a text message (at a stoplight!)

I'm looking forward to working with you!
